Last year I had a wonderful birthday surprise… the boyfriend and friends organised for us to go for a meal out to Zizzi! Great I thought, I love their food, and even though they don’t have pasta or pizza I can eat, I love the Aubergine bake (yepp that’s gluten free) and the salads are amazing! Not to mention the starter-for-two with all the salami, mozzerella and sundried tomatoes (the boyfriend always gets the breadsticks, just be sure to make sure they put them on the side of the board as they have the tendency to place them over everything!) but, to my surprise, I was so excited to find out that Zizzi had started to serve their pasta dishes (any of them, except the ravioli dishes) with Dove’s Farm Gluten Free Pasta!
Wow! I had a lovely creamy dish that was absolutley delicious. Since this visit I’ve been back countless times and am gradually working my way through the menu to try out all of the pasta dishes with the Dove’s Farm pasta.
Seriously impressive stuff here, definitly worth a visit! Plus, they always have vouchers for week days so it’s really great value too (even without the vouchers, it’s brilliant for the size of the portions!). The atmosphere is always brilliant no matter what restaurant you go to.
We went to the one in Taunton for my bi
rthday if you’re wondering – it’s gorgeous, stunning architecture and in the middle of February, with the dark night outside, it’s so warm and welcoming inside! Another favourite of mine is the Zizzi in Newark at The Ossington, another brilliant architectural treat and a great restaurant I have visited many times!
I’ve included some of the gorgeous artwork from the website on here too as its so beautiful!
Enjoy!
