Wahaca

Wahaca is brilliant as it is a Mexican restaurant, and in my opinion, there are so many dishes that can be gluten free in Mexican cuisine. Wahaca stands out to me as the staff at the restaurant in Covent Garden are amazingly clued-up on what is gluten free and what is safe for me to eat.

The restaurant operates in a similar way to Wagamama in that the menu is your place mat, the waiter or waiteress writes and circles directly onto it and the food is brought out as and when it is ready, which means constantly fresh food that isn’t sat for hours under warming lights.

I like to try out different food when I go to restaurants, rather than going for the same dish each time, so Wahaca is amazing for this, as, they have SO much choice for me! I have been there a few times now and the only thing I ate the same both times was the nachos and the almond milk (you HAVE to try this, it’s delicious, the boyfriend always has some of mine as it’s really refreshing when you eat something spicy!)

There are loads of cocktails to choose from in the restaurant too, but I’ve not tried them yet as we are always on the way somewhere when we go to eat there, but they always look amazing! The same with the desserts, so it’s a great excuse for me to have to go back and sample them and report in! Although… I wish they would make gluten free Churros, that would make my day!! Maybe I’ll have to try making them myself…

Anyone else had any brilliant trips to Wahaca? Definitly visit them, you’ll want to go back again and again! Oh, and don’t forget to grab a packet of Chilli Plant seeds on your way out! I need to grow mine soon!

Enjoy!
