Straits Brasserie (http://www.straitsbrasserie.co.uk/)- we stumbled into this wonderful restaurant by complete chance… After walking through Lincoln looking for somewhere to eat, we couldn’t find anywhere that had enough seats (no thank you, we do not want to sit on a sofa and at a table at opposite ends of the cafe!! That was one cafe’s idea?!) or that served gluten free food (our ex-favourite coffee shop now does not serve food, will not use soya milk and seems to be proud of this? Nil point for you my no longer friend) so up the hill we headed! I’m so glad we found this lovely place!
Firstly we walked in and there was a real friendly atmosphere in there that can only be created by a happy staff and customer combination! From the minute we arrived to the moment we left, there were smiles all round! We were brought our menus (more smiles) and to my surprise and delight there were gluten free friendly options! And lots of them too!
I chose the pesto, olive, feta and pine nut salad and ordered a side of sweet potato chips with it. The food was presented to us and as each dish was placed down, we were all oohs and aahs and then silent as we ate! The sign of a good meal!!

There was so much choice – even gluten free beer! So, if you’re in Lincoln, check out Straits Brasserie, you are guaranteed a wonderful meal and a really relaxed time!
