Because if it can, I can eat/slurp it!
I’ve just returned from hospital having had my wisdom teeth removed under General Anaesthetic and it’s safe to say I’m super-sleepy, got a gravely/gritty throat, and every now and again, just for the fun of it, I get a nose-bleed (something to do with the breathing tube that was rather unceremoniously shoved down my nose while I was knocked out!) So, with that, I am now on a ‘soft food’ diet, and for soft read pureed and for food read soup/yoghurt/smoothie.

Basically, I am loving the blender and the liquidizer at the moment!
On Sunday I made up three batches of soup: Curried Parsnip, Butternut Squash & Red Pepper and Carrot & Corriander & Ginger! I’ll post these recipes up when I have a little more energy (hopefully tomorrow!)

And, my lovely mother made me a HUGE bowl of ratatouille, so i’m going to be blending that up later for tea!
I’m not entirely sure how this will work with my big ‘getting fit and healthy for my holiday’ plan… will it help? Or will my body go into that horrible starvation mode and make me bloat like hell?? We shall see… but for now, I’m getting stuck into soup making, getting re-acquainted with the smoothie maker (who doesn’t have one of these kicking around their cupboards?!)

I’ve just made up a nice smoothie with blueberries, one banana and some home-grown raspberries with a splash of soya milk to make it a little more liquid-y. Nice… but not my favourite as the raspberry seeds were a bit of a pain (literally…).
If anyone has any fab ‘wisdom teeth recipes’ then please let me know! I’d be super-grateful of any suggestions.
Keep blending!
